Hi, I use intermittent fasting, as well. I’ve done it for years, mainly because I was raised by my workaholic father that never took breakfast or lunch breaks and only ever ate one meal, dinner. I then studied Medicine and became a surgeon, and it was this eating pattern that fit in so well with the lifestyle of a Resident (doctor in training), mainly out of necessity. I now later realize something special about what it means to leave yourself hungry once in a while. It builds internal psychological strength and character. It also keeps me young in appearance and in good physical shape. I don’t why it hasn’t been discovered sooner. It is only now, too, that I realize that this is what I have been doing. There are well known animal research studies that show that longevity is nearly inversely proportional to the amount an animal eats. The animals that eat less live longer. Anyways, thanks for the article.
