I disagree with you. The movie was about conformity and how it limits awareness. For instance, there is a whole lot more being said in the movie. Remember that scene where a language professor was repeating the Latin words for agriculture? What do you think that was all about? The movie was an attempt to make the viewer see things differently, not in such concrete terms, but to view communications more as metaphor. The movie succeeded, too, because now I get a lot more content out of my experiences. The movie wasn’t really about poetry.
