I think what Baudrillard might be trying to say is that it is the simulation itself that makes a person think his thoughts, even if the thoughts are about the simulation itself.
Take a close look at the results of the "delayed choice double slit experiment," and you will see that the best explanation for those results is that the experiment is a pre-recording.
Also, look at the card trick on YouTube by the magician named David Berglas, called "any card any number", and you will see that it too is the same, a pre-recording.
It's like all of us are watching a movie. We know nothing more than the experience that is being presented to us. Humans are being deceived.
