Thank you for writing this article. I am a former neurosurgeon, and I have seen similar things that you describe. There was something, however, far more profound in the foreground of those events that I am only now being able to to recognize. Do you know what that thing was? My own total lack of awareness, consciousness and complete acceptance of a system and world where the only constant it seems is war. I look back at everything, sometimes, and I think good riddance. I hear expressions like “Don’t you love me baby,” as pure mockery, even if it is just a lyric in a song. Now I think the only worthwhile thing worth saving are the animals. I’m so mad about it… it makes me want to invest in war.
