“The views that hold up the strongest will provide us the information needed to make the best possible choices in moving forward as a species.”

This statement seems so very reasonable, and yet it is incorrect. What is ironic is that to understand why it is incorrect is to use one’s faculties beyond that of reason. It is the consensus views, especially in science, that are nearly always wrong. And, it isn’t simply a matter of our best possible explanations being a justification for being wrong. There’s something more going on. For one thing, we naively operate on the assumption that we are not living under active deception. However, nearly all the mystics throughout history have said that we are. If you are not yet convinced of the possibility that I might have a valid point, then go look at the results of the “delayed choice double slit experiment.” You will soon realize that science knows next to nothing, and yet we continually have faith in science. Human beings are biased towards being deceived.
