Very nicely written and a fascinating topic. The logic of all these arguments does rely on light speed being a constant, though. What if we lived in a simulation? Would the scientific measurement of the speed of light have any meaning? Or, if you lived in a virtual reality and wore some kind of computer screen that you assumed were your eyes… would the measurement of the moving light pixels on that screen have any significance? I think it might be that our collective physical model of reality might be wrong. Not just our notions of time and space. Just a thought.
