You might tell them (the scientists, that is) that trying to describe existence with only the tools of science is like trying to explain an opera using only the flavours of Ben and Gerry’s ice cream. Understanding something requires integration from multiple sources and modalities of information. Integration of information is where consciousness arises. Without consciousness a person is just a robot, and as we all know robots have a hard time understand anything. The problem is that you don’t understand the question, and you assume that there are experts that are not themselves robots. Try looking at things from a different perspective. Allow yourself to be wrong in doing so. If you are persistent eventually you will come up with your own answers. Good luck.
